Rajim is famous for its rich cultural heritage and the beautiful ancient temples. Rajim is also known as the “Prayag” of the Chhattisgarh. The holy confluence of three rivers Mahanadi (Chitrotpala), Pairi and Sondur, called Triveni Sangam is at Rajim. Every year sages from all across the country reach the mela which begins from Maagh poornima and lasts till Mahashivratri.
Chhatisgarh's archaeological city has many ancient temples in Rajim. The inscriptions of 7th century have also been received here, which is the reign of Raja Vilasantanga. Vilasunguna was probably a branch of the Nalla dynasty. This temple is a remarkable example of Panchayat style (architect). In the structure of the temple there are twelve dilapidated pillars which are filled with stone carvings. Hindus bear the faces of various deities of Hindu mythology. Rajim is 45 km away from Raipur, where it can be reached easily by rail-air-road to reach.
